3.1 Application of Harmonized Standards and Technical Specifications
Our online presence complies:

  • partially with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version: 2.1. It meets level AA.
  • The WCAG are an international standard for accessibility guidelines, developed and maintained by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the body responsible for standardizing web technologies. The goal of these guidelines is to create structures for digital offerings that enable access and use for all persons in terms of digital accessibility.

6. Competent Market Surveillance Authority

For Germany:

To fulfill the tasks of the Accessibility Enforcement Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz – BFSG), the federal states are currently in the process of establishing a joint authority.

The Market Surveillance Authority of the Federal States for the Accessibility of Products and Services (MLBF) is planned to commence operations as a new public-law institution on June 28, 2025, in Saxony-Anhalt, in the state capital Magdeburg. This is subject to the ratification of the interstate agreement on the implementation of the Accessibility Enforcement Act (BFSG) by all federal states. All states are currently working to establish the necessary conditions for this.
