Air conditioner
An air conditioner system extracts heat from the room and releases it to the outside. During the summer months, the mobile air conditioning system from Stadler Form ensures a pleasant temperature indoors. ❄️

What are the benefits of a mobile monobloc air conditioner system?
Tips for buying a portable monobloc air conditioner system
There are a few things you should consider when buying an air conditioner.
The size of the room is decisive for the optimum cooling capacity. The cooling capacity of an air conditioner is always specified in BTU per hour. BTU stands for British Thermal Unit. The values range from approx. 5,000 to 15,000 BTU per hour. The optimum room size in which an air conditioning system can efficiently cool the indoor air is derived from this cooling capacity. Basically, the higher the BTU per hour, the more powerful the air conditioning system. However, it should be borne in mind that other factors are also important for an optimum cooling capacity. For example, solar radiation, the insulation of the building, the room height and the window area also play a role in how efficient the cooling capacity is.
Basically, all air conditioning systems need electricity. This is why efficient and controlled use is very important. The desired temperature should be programmed using the thermostat to avoid excessive running times. The difference to the outside temperature should be a maximum of 8 degrees in order to use the air conditioning system more economically. Windows and doors should also be closed. Also use the timer function to prevent unnecessary running times.
Appliances are categorised according to their energy consumption. The classification is from A+++ to D. The classification of A+++ means = very low energy consumption and D = high energy consumption.
The air conditioner Emil from Stadler Form has wipeable filters at the air inlet that filter coarse particles such as dust, pollen, hair etc. from the air.
Find out what is included in the scope of delivery and whether additional accessories need to be purchased. With Emil from Stadler Form, everything is included in the scope of delivery, and the air conditioner can be used immediately after the simple installation. Installation is also done in no time and no drilling or screwing is necessary.
Thanks to its simple installation, a mobile monobloc air conditioning system is the ideal solution for rented flats as well as for owner-occupied homes and condominiums. Everything can be removed without leaving any residue if you move. The mobile air conditioning system can be used again in the new home.
The mobile air conditioning unit Emil from Stadler Form is suitable for rooms up to 35 m2. The room must be at least 12 m2 in size. This is to ensure safety in the event of a refrigerant leak.
Tips for optimum use of the mobile air conditioning system ℹ️
With these simple tips, you can create a comfortable indoor climate while using your portable air conditioner in an energy-efficient and health-conscious way.
Temperature difference: make sure that the difference between the desired target temperature and the temperature outside is a maximum of 8 degrees. Large temperature differences are often stressful for our bodies.
No draughts directly onto the body: blood vessels constrict due to cold air or draughts. This reduces blood flow to the mucous membranes and makes it easier for viruses to spread. Therefore, avoid direct draughts on the body to prevent tension and colds.
Drink enough: air conditioner reduce the humidity in the room. Therefore, make sure you drink enough water to relieve the mucous membranes.
Ventilate properly: we recommend airing the room in the early morning and late evening in summer. It is best to use the air conditioning with the windows (except for the exhaust air hose) and doors closed. You can find tips on correct ventilation in summer here.
Reduce the heat: avoid direct sunlight. To do this, close the blinds, curtains, venetian blinds or roller blinds so that the room heats up less. Avoid or reduce the use of electrical appliances, as they emit additional heat into the room. You can find more tips in our blog article here.
Use the air conditioning system energy-efficiently: don’t cool the room down too much. We also recommend closing the room to prevent the cool air from escaping. Our Thermo Shield™ window sealing set ensures optimum insulation that protects against the summer heat. This enables more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly use of the air conditioning system.
Use a hygrometer: as colder air can absorb less moisture, it is important that you use a hygrometer. This helps you to keep an eye on the humidity. The relative humidity should be between 40 and 60 per cent.
What are the advantages of a mobile monobloc air conditioner system over a split air conditioning system?
A basic distinction is made between monobloc and split air conditioning units. Monoblock units are compact devices in which the entire system is housed within a single casing. Split units are divided into an outdoor unit and an indoor unit. Monoblock products are categorised as either wall-mounted or portable units. This article, as well as the comparison that follows, focuses on portable monoblock air conditioners.
A mobile monobloc air conditioning system draws in the warm room air and extracts the heat from it via an efficient cooling circuit. This is then channelled outside via the exhaust air hose. The split air conditioning system is permanently installed on the wall and consists of an indoor unit and an outdoor unit.
The following table shows the advantages of a mobile air conditioning system and the most important differences.
Mobile monobloc air conditioner system |
Split air conditioner system |
|
|---|---|---|
| ⚙️ Function | Compact unit on castors for mobile use, usually with cooling, dehumidification and fan mode | Permanently installed unit indoors and outdoors on the building, mostly with cooling, dehumidification and fan mode, sometimes also heating mode |
| 🛠️ Installation | Simple installation without drilling and screws | Complex installation with structural changes |
| ✅ Advantages | Can be used flexibly, simple installation, also possible in a rented flat (no drilling and screwing necessary), low costs as no installation is necessary, can be easily uninstalled at the end of the season | Quiet indoors, more efficient cooling (as they work with a closed system), low power consumption |
| ❌ Disadvantages | Window must be open during use, unlike a split air conditioning system, operation is louder | Requires installation, in a rented flat, written authorisation and possibly a planning application are required, high installation costs, not suitable for mobile use |
| Use | Can be moved to different rooms | Single rooms or several rooms (with multi-split devices) |
| Alternative category names | Mobile air conditioning / air conditioner | Monosplit air conditioning systems, multisplit devices |
